Big Talbot Island – Oct 2012

Just north of Jacksonville is the most beautiful secret beach I have found. It’s a little hard to get to, as you have to drive into a location that seems like you are lost. When you finally find the parking spot you are only halfway there. A trek through mosquito infested forest would you to some rough bluffs with down trees. Finally we arrived and I was shocked by how undisturbed this beach was. There was no one else in sight. We walked for about a mile on the soft beige sand and was impressed by the immense driftwood. We saw some awesome sea life. If you find yourself in the area and want to enjoy a private beach, I highly recommend this gorgeous place.
